Announcing The Memory Project - Stories of the Second World War
Toronto - Jun 4, 2009
On the eve of the 65th anniversary of D-Day and The Battle of Normandy, The Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Minister Responsible for Official Languages, joined local veterans, students and The Dominion Institute at the Montgomery Legion Hall to help launch The Memory Project - Stories of the Second World War. This nationwide project will capture the stories and artifacts of thousands of veterans and create the definitive account of Canada and the Second World War from those that were there.
